Douglas J. Katz, DMD

Douglas Katz studied Political Science and received a BA from the University of Maryland. After deciding to become a dentist and not pursue environmental law, prerequisite dental and general science classes were then completed and he was accepted and attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Dental School, now simply known as Rutgers. After earning his DMD, a one year hospital residency was completed at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Pursuing his passion for endodontics, Dr. Katz attended Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Department of Endodontics, chaired by the prestigious and pioneering endodontist Dr. Herbert Schilder. After receiving his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, Dr. Katz worked in New Jersey at Mid Jersey Endodontics Group for one year before moving to New Hampshire to be closer to the mountains frequented in any spare time. Settling in Hooksett as Katz Endodontics, he has enjoyed many years of specialty practice and being a part of the community he served. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Katz has participated in numerous activities with the local and state dental societies, including chair and executive positions. He has also served on the board of Northeast Delta Dental.

If not wearing a mask and gloves, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, and Labrador Retriever. If not with them, he can be found in the backcountry ski and hiking trails, anywhere on a bicycle, or fishing for native brook trout.
